Membership is open to fire protection organizations from Countries generally recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

The primary objective of the Member’s organization shall address fire safety and associated matters.

The organization shall either be:

A national fire safety organization of a country;

OR

A fire safety organization of a region or territory;

AND

Recognized or registered by the National Government.

Members may be asked to pay an annual contribution, the amount of which approved by the General Assembly.

Where more than one organization represents a country or region only one vote may be recorded in the business of the Association.
